A/C Repair Checklists

What happens during coil replacement/repair?

• The technician removes any remaining refrigerant gas from the unit.

• Technician accesses the coil in your air handler.

• Copper lines are disconnected from evaporating coil.

• Old coil is removed and new one is installed.

• Copper lines are reconnected and lines are pressure tested for leaks.

• Refrigerant lines are put on a vacuum then refrigerant is reintroduced.

• Thermostat is set to cool and tested for proper operating status.
